I: Thanks for letting us put this interview together; I know you are a busy man.
L: No problem, but I am pretty sleepy. I will try my best to stay awake until we are finished.
I: Ok. So, welcome to earth! How do you like it so far?
L: I really don’t have many complaints. I am quite happy about being here. Besides a little gas, things have been generally easy, and consist of sleep, delicious sugar milk, diaper time and lots of cuddling. I even smile at my mom many times a day. Everyone keeps saying, “Oh, how cute, he is smiling. It’s just gas though”, but they are crazy. I smile when my mom sings and talks to me because it makes me happy. Besides, who smiles about gas? That stuff is painful.
I: What do they call you?
L: I have three names; sometimes I am called Luke, my mom calls me angel baby, and my brother calls me Lutes.
I: Speaking of your big brother, what do you think of him?
L: He is pretty awesome. Whenever he comes near me I am filled with excitement and anxiety. You see he is really unpredictable. He usually puts his face right up to mine, looks right in my eyes and says, “Cute”. Who doesn’t like to hear how cute they are over and over again?
He also likes to come up to me and put his cars and toys on my stomach. It is easy to share when you know you can have your toys back as soon as you want them.
Other times he tries to pick me up and carry me away, which makes me feel a little scared.
And one time he walked right into the family room carrying the boppy around his waist. He climbed up on the couch and demanded, “Baby Lutes”. Mom put me in his arms and he lifted up his shirt and tried to nurse me…which was a little awkward. But mom and grandma started giggling like crazy. He gives me tons of hugs and kisses and I can tell he loves me.
I: Have you experienced any real disappointment yet?
L: The most disappointing moment of my life occurred the day my mom and dad brought me home from the hospital. For many months I lived in this warm, dark, watery Jacuzzi. While I was in there I worked day and night on growing the perfect hair. By the time I was born it was flawless. Fuzzy all along the top and long around the bottom; I’m talking an inch and a half all around the entire bottom of my head. It was a gorgeous strawberry mullet. And do you know what? My mom cut that baby off the very day she brought me home. Oh well, I forgave her, because she makes milk for me all day and night. It is hard to hold a grudge.
Oh, I almost forgot about the night my mom ate broccoli. Talk about a disappointment. My stomach was in painful knots for hours. I would feel bad that my mama has to cut something out of her diet, but I think she only eats broccoli like once a year anyway.
I: What do you think of your dad? What is he like?
L: I love him of course. He cuddles and burps me, and we have been watching the Jazz in the playoffs together. If I have learned one thing about him it is that he hates the Lakers. He also stayed up with me late the night of the broccoli stomachache. He rubbed my back, and bounced me and helped me until I was all better. We are going to be best buds. He is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I: And he is out ladies and gentlemen. We will have to catch him later.

Oh Bekah, soooo cute! You are so creative. I've made a modest return to the blogging world simply so I can get the scoop on baby Luke and family.
