It turns out...

syrup makes the best hair gel. It holds really well. Russell may occasionally smear it all in his hair while eating pancakes. And, unlike a respectable mother who would put her kid in the tub and wash it out or at least grab some kind of wet cloth and wipe it off, I just stick my fingers in it and spike it up.

Do Russell's hair...Check.

My toddler smells so delicious I want to hold him on my lap all day...Bonus.

By the end of the day Russ Russ is pointing to the knots in his hair and saying, "Hair, hurt. Hair, hurt."...Oops.

By the way, this happens more frequently than it should.

I have no idea why I spent my two minutes of free time writing this.

Evan used to use his head as a napkin. Whether yogurt, cupcake crumbs, pizza sauce, whatever, it would go straight in the hair.
