What is it like being the only woman in the house?

It is quite glorious. I feel that every other member of the household is unashamedly in love with me. I know, what kind of egocentric woman needs three men adoring her to make her feel satisfied? I guess God knows me better than I know myself.

First, there is Mark. I will not disclose all the ways he makes me feel loved. I have no doubt that you would rather I skip that description anyway.

Then there is Lukey. The kid, or baby, cannot keep his eyes off of me. He constantly stares at me, and when I look his way he smiles so hard his face looks like it might break in two.

And Russ Russ, oh Russ Russ. With his ever-emerging language he has new ways to make me feel adored. Last Sunday as I stepped out of my bedroom, wearing a dress and ready for church, Russ dropped his Buzz, and his jaw, and exclaimed, "Aaah. Mommy beauty beauty! Mommy beauty beauty!"

My heart melted into three thousand pieces.

By the time we had made it to the car he had told me I was, "Beauty beauty" ten times, and I was strapping him into his car seat he said, "Mommy princess. Russell prince."

On the other hand, I do scoop food into two of their mouths, wipe poop off of two of their bums, make endless amounts of food for all three, and clean the house daily... no tri-daily, or trillia-daily. And two nights ago when I asked Mark to help me wash the dishes he walked behind me singing, "This woman's work, this woman's work".

Perhaps I am the maid of the house instead of the queen. I prefer to think queen...while I can.
